Shrink Plastic - Flipflops

I saw a template somewhere online for these and had to make some.  Stamped with Brilliance Moonlight White, and coloured with alcohol ink after shrinking.  I thought they turned out really cute!  The second picture shows how teeny tiny they really are.

Created for the Anything But A Card Challenge where the theme is "Get Messy", and in the words of the challenge: "Anything Goes here - use modeling paste, paint, ink, sprays, Papier-mâché, alcohol inks, etc. Get it all out and just dive in and have FUN! Throw some paint, decoupage, make drips and splotches - or all of the above. The theme is open so the possibilities are endless... just remember create anything except a card... this is going to be FUN!!!"

I definitely had fun, and used a ton of different supplies and layers to make my postcard art!

This started as a piece of heavy weight cardstock that was layered with soft gel medium and stamped into with various cookie cutters & scored with a credit card to create texture.  It was then layered with transparent fluid acrylics to create depth, then layered with texture paste that was painted, followed by some stamping, and the addition of shimmer paints and textures.

Postcard - Every Summer Has A Story

Created for the Sunday Postcard Art Challenge where the theme is Summer Solstice.  This was so much fun.  I focused mainly on the colours that say Summer to me, rich, bright yellows, red and oranges tinged with the purples and lilacs you see in late Summer sunsets & in flowers.  I don't think I have a an arty sun stamp (adding to wish list), so I used a clay mould instead.

Added this shot to show the Lilac Lustre Spray

Notice the text stamp peeking though the layers - This is my new favourite, looks just like old book page.

Postcard - Time Is A Companion

Created for the Sunday Postcard Art Challenge where the theme is all things masculine.  I'm not sure how well this represents masculine, but it's not pink and there's no flowers! lol.  I decided to use dark purples when I came across a time themed digital collage sheet (when rumaging through my stash for ideas).  I kind of think of pocket watches and clocks as more masculine items, so that's what I ended up using.
