Created for the Anything But A Card Challenge where the theme is "Get Messy", and in the words of the challenge: "Anything Goes here - use modeling paste, paint, ink, sprays, Papier-mâché, alcohol inks, etc. Get it all out and just dive in and have FUN! Throw some paint, decoupage, make drips and splotches - or all of the above. The theme is open so the possibilities are endless... just remember create anything except a card... this is going to be FUN!!!"
I definitely had fun, and used a ton of different supplies and layers to make my postcard art!
This started as a piece of heavy weight cardstock that was layered with soft gel medium and stamped into with various cookie cutters & scored with a credit card to create texture. It was then layered with transparent fluid acrylics to create depth, then layered with texture paste that was painted, followed by some stamping, and the addition of shimmer paints and textures.
Supplies:
Cardstock - Taffeta Smooth White
Greyboard / Chipboard
Soft Gel Medium
Cookie Cutters & Key card - for creating texture
Sequin Mesh
Texture Paste - Liquitex
Golden Fluid Acrylics - Nickel Azo Yellow, Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold, Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Quinacridone Magenta, Quinacridone Crimson, Turquoise Pthalo
Silks Glaze - Sky blue
Lumiere - Super Sparkle
Stamps - Art Impressions (Tiny Flowers); Invoke Arts (Vision Quote)
